From the 23rd of October till the 31st of October we stayed in Paris to attend the International congress for new evangelization. We didn't stay in a hotel but we could sleep at peoples homes. Together with Rok from Slovenia I stayed with an elderly couple from the Parish that served as our headquarters during our stay in Paris. The couple did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They greeted us with caviar and cognac!
Below I have added a picture of the Parish center. There was also a child baptized when we were in the Mass.
This Parish
made a big impression on me. It had everything, to me it
was the best example of a parish according to the Second
Vatican Council. There was a good priest, a very open,
gentle man. The parish church is also part of a monastery
with sisters who have Eucharistic adoration during the
afternoon. In the evening members of the parish go and meet
the homeless to give them something to eat and to drink.
They also give them blankets in winter. After the world
youth day of 1997 the parish got it's own youth group and
this group is still very active.
During the congress we were at the Notre Dame Cathedral for
the central lectures. In the afternoon we went to Trocadero
Square to perform a sketch and we also told people about
the congress that was going on. Although it was almost
